SF Jim: OMG !!! I must have missed that thread first go around. I can't believe they did that to you and your friend. All for just some BS politics!!

ikhandi: I just can't believe that in this day and age companies can still get away with paying men more than women for doing the same job. Totally unfair.

Well I went food shopping earlier today, and what I hate to see happen.....happened. We had a basketful of stuff, and got on line to pay. There was a couple ahead of us and they were putting their groceries on the belt. The cashier began to ring them up. I happened to notice that these people had steak, caviar (Romanoff), other imported foods, and other high dollar items. Not to mentioned they were well dressed. So I said to myself, they better not pay with what I think they are going to pay with. Sure enough, their total comes to $200+ dollars. Out comes the food stamps card. I've seen this happen for a number of years now, and it pisses me off every time. How can these people get away with this????

it is unfair if you are born in an african country rather than the US/Europe/Australi etc. (and Canada)

It's also unfair how those who were born into homes of modest means have to struggle for everything they have, while those who are born into more privileged families get everything handed to them on a silver platter. And...not appreciating what they have.

HURRICANE to hit NOVA SCOTIA today..are you READY?

i'm getting hit .. today.. with hurricane juan.. it will strike metro halifax between 6 and 9 pm this evening.

winds 90 to 140 km/hour... up to 80 millimetres of rain.

"this is the worst case scenario for halifax... we are right on the hit list"..says forcasters.

In life, we encounter many things that seem unfair. Some things may be major, and some things are minor.

What are some of the things you encounter in life that you feel is unfair?

My daughter has a small savings account. Now, this money is not a lot of money, but enough to keep in the bank. Well, the other day, she gets her statement in the mail, the bank has begun charging her a $10 per month service fee. For what? She is not withdrawing money from the account. The money is just sitting there. But the bank feels they have to charge $10 bucks for the privilege of holding onto her money? Well, we went down there and I gave the a piece of my mind (and belive me, I don't have much left) and closed the account. They said it was part of their new terms and conditions since they merged with another bank. I told them that is totally unfair.

Anybody have any experiences you feel is unfair?

MY Wal-Mart Experience Today.

well, there i was out in front of wal-mart today.

i'm wearing my yellow smock that says "helping the mentally disabled" and "knights of columbus" yep, it's the beginning of that time of year...the time when we pass out tootsie rolls and accept donations giving the money to the mentally hanidcapped.. anyhow, the way our group does it...we offer the tootsie roll to anyone that wants one...even if they don't choose to make a donation.... you wouldn't believe how many people just could not believe that we would actually just give them a tootsie roll without them giving us a donation...one guy just walked away and says "there's gotta be a catch" it took me three minutes to explain to this one woman that regardless of whether or not she gave a donation i would still give her a tootsie roll, even if she told me in advance that she wasn't going to give me a donation.

i guess people really aren't used to getting something for nothing.. sure, it's my hope that after giving them a tootsie roll they'll give a donation...but the other motive is just to get them the tootsie roll that also has the "knights of columbus" name on the wrapper (specially printed for the knights).

Yeru. I give ya a lot of credit for being out there collecting for the Knights. I can't belive that some people would just take a tootsie roll without giving at least a quarter. Some people. Sheesh!!
